Free How-to Guides and Manuals

Posted on August 16th, 2013 | By Gerd Meissner

Manual by manual, I've found that UK-based MakeUseOf.com's free how-to guides offer useful, well-researched in-depth insights, tips and tricks, with titles like "How to Use Evernote - The Unofficial Manual" (I'll get back to that in a later post), the "Smartphone Buying Guide" or "A Dropbox Guide."

Okay, not entirely free - they are asking for your email address, to add it to their mailing list. Based on my experience so far, I think it's a fair deal that will save you a lot of time when learning new tricks, or when researching which app or software might be best suited for a particular project.

Below you will find a link to their more than 50 free manuals, covering topics from how to learn HTML5 to an "Automation Guide for the Web."

You will need a password to download the ebooks. It will be emailed to you once you have subscribed on the same page:
